Zak Adams

Director of Engineering

Zak is responsible for engineering, design of integrated systems, and technical research at BrightFarms.

Zak has been integral to the design and build process of all our greenhouse projects to date, most notably the Science Barge and the greenhouse at Manhattan School for Children. Most recently he completed the design and build of the interior greenhouse systems at Cypress Hills Community School.

He completed his graduate work under John Todd (inventor of the Living Machine) at the University of Vermont, where he modeled, developed, and constructed agricultural and renewable energy systems.

Zak has worked with New Jersey Community Water Watch, Edison Wetlands Association, Ocean Arks International, Intervale Foundation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Vermont Alternative Energy Corporation, and Delaware Valley Eco-Fuels.
