What inspired you to work at BrightFarms?
The opportunity to be involved with a company that is changing the world. It is not often you find a group of people who inspire innovative yet palpable solutions to transform an entire system. I admired the chance to be part of this revolution; and, of course, couldn’t wait to enjoy the first BrightFarms salad!

What do you do at BrightFarms?
I support the business development functions at BrightFarms, with a particular focus on building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering exceptional customer service.

What experiences prepared you for your job?
I’ve always had both a passion and penchant for developing environmental projects. Prior to working at BrightFarms, I managed an international award-winning entry into the United States Department of Energy and helped structure a campaign around solar power purchase agreements for California-based affordable housing. I also managed a local political campaign and spent time researching energy efficiency standards and legislation in the House of Representatives. I really enjoy bringing diverse people together that would not otherwise collaborate to accomplish new goals.

What do you like best about working here?
The energy. Everyone who works at BrightFarms is passionate about their work and the resulting impact. It is truly inspiring to work with such brilliant and hardworking people.

If you were a type of lettuce in our spring mix, which would you be?
Frisѐe; it is part of the daisy family and who doesn’t like daisies? Plus it is rich in vitamins A and K; as those are my initials, it was meant to be.

Anything else you would like to add?
This is an exciting time to be part of the local food movement. To be at a company wedding farmers, technology, policy, and communities to deliver the freshest, most nutritious, and tastiest food possible is extraordinary. I can’t wait to buy a BrightFarms tomato or a clamshell of BrightFarms lettuce in my neighborhood supermarket.
